We also talked about ways we were responsible and helped out at home when we had our snow day.

PEF News

Over just a few years, the PEF annual auction fundraiser has evolved from a small breakfast with a few items to a large scale event expected to raise more than $10,000 this year for Polaris.

We’re moving the date of our annual PEF fundraising event to mid-May.

This new upcoming PEF sponsored event is being changed from a “Gala” event to a live “Game-a-Thon” event. We are excited to offer this new and fun way of raising monies for our community of learners at Polaris.

Stay tuned as we will be sharing more information about this event and how you can plan to attend in advance. Thank you for your continued support of our largest fundraising event of the year.

The event will be held in May 2018 at LaBelle Winery in Amherst, NH.

Information on ticket sales will be posted to the PEF Facebook page and Polaris Newsletter in the near future.

The dance will be held on April 7, 2018 from 5:00-8:00PM at the Founder’s Academy in Manchester, NH.

The North Star Dance that earned the award by PTO Today as best family event of the year will return and move to Founder’s Academy for more fun!

Students of Polaris are encouraged to choose their “North Star” who is an adult to the dance. Their “star” can be any adult that helps build them up and shine brightly in the classroom and community. And we encourage students to also invite their family as well including older/younger siblings.

We will be moving some of the fun items that were once part of the annual auction to this event. We welcome and appreciate can any gift certificates and/or items to help with teacher, student and adult raffle baskets.

DJ WANTED – do you know a DJ that would be willing to donate his/her time and skills for a great cause? Please let us know.

Many of those who run the PEF as board members will be completing their final year in 2018.This organization needs several new parents to help backfill these positions and get ready for the 2018–2019 school year.

Please take the time to consider how you may be able to contribute. Free training!

In addition to anticipated vacant board positions, we need a Chair to start a Robotics Program and also a Chair to take over the Student Ambassador program. Contact us please for more information if interested.

Please e-mail pef@polarischarterschool.org

A sledding party, a student choice event, the annual Read-a-Thon and much more are in progress! Stay tuned…

Best Wishes,
