Kylie and Maru created a special bulletin board outside of their classroom where kids can take a post-it and write an inspirational message and hopefully make someone feel good. In the one day its been up, some wonderful messages have been sent! This was such a wonderful idea!

Core Value – Responsibility
This week we began talking about this month’s Core Value of Responsibility. Students had lots of thoughts on what it means to be responsible. We also talked about things that they have noticed others doing that showed they are responsible and then worked through some scenarios and thought about what the responsible thing to do was. Finally, we analyzed the quote:
“I must do something” always solves more problems that “Something must be done.”
Our Star Students who were selected before vacation were: Alex, Ayla, Cole, Ella, Ephrim, Leo, Lexi, Tricia and Tyler. Awesome job!
Pegasus Class Share
In science, Ms. Gilbert’s class has been learning about matter and identifying solids, liquids, and gases. Students worked on a project in which they picked a place that is interesting or familiar to them (beach, theme park, campground, etc.) and identified examples of solids, liquids, and gases found at this scene. In literacy, we have been celebrating the work of Dr. Seuss this month. Earlier this week we listened to the story, “If I Ran A Zoo” and did some follow-up activities related to the book. Some students chose to share their “Create Your Own Animal” writing assignment and some chose to read their “Animal Poem” that they wrote about their favorite animal.
