  Smarter Balanced Assessment

Smarter Balanced testing has been completed with the exception of a handful to students who need to finish a section or two. We did experience some issues with internet service that were resolved by logging in and logging back out again. The students were incredibly patient and they worked hard. Results will be available sometime next Fall. In May, students in fourth grade will take the Science NECAP. More information will follow.

While the majority of students were doing the Smarter Balanced Assessment, others met in other classes to continue work as well as do some collaborative activities. For example, students in Mrs. Dudley’s class made towers of various shapes (rectangle, triangle and cylinder) and determined which worked best to hold the most books. The cylinder held the most – 38 books!

PEF News

Although Boxtops only issues a check twice per year, our wonderful BoxTops Coordinator has to trim them all and add them to sheets, which takes quite a while. So if you have a bunch taking up space send ’em on in!

We’re excited to announce that we have a volunteer for at least one position which will be vacated this year, thanks to the wonderful folks who’ve stepped up. If you are still interested but haven’t gotten around to inquiring, we still have several openings to be filled. We’re excited to hear new ideas!
