The staff hosted a brunch Thursday to thank our amazing volunteers for all they do to help our school. We know there are lots of you that have helped throughout the year that were not able to make it but we want you to know how much we appreciate you. We could not do what we do without our volunteers.
look through a window I see outside
look through glass I see outside
but as I look through you I see greatness
look through a window I see beyond
look through glass I see beyond
but as I look through you I see potential
Students persevered with testing this week as fourth grade students completed the Science NECAP exam. Make up exams will be given next week.
Our students recognized for persevering at Polaris were: Allie, Emmy, Gus, Sarah, Sebastian, Xavier and Yoni. Great job!
Mrs. Vlasich’s Class Share
Students in Ms. V’s class have been studying the ocean and the creatures that live in it. They realized how important it is to take care of it so they designed their own slogans for keeping the trash out of the ocean. One example was: If you drink it don’t sink it by Taya.
Look For Library Books
The end of the year is coming up fast, so now’s the time to think about returning books to the school library. Most, but not all of our books have a sticker on the back that says “Property of Polaris Charter School Library.” If you find other books at your house that you don’t recognize as belonging to your household, please ask your kids if they came from the school library.
If you’d like to add to our library, please take a look at the library book wish list here:
In an attempt to streamline the donation process for families and for the school, we have set up wish lists on the websites for NE Paper & Supply and Amazon.com. Follow the links below to see the items we need. You can order online and they will ship directly to the school. In addition, Polaris will get money back from both sites. NE Paper & Supply will give us 10% credit for every item ordered. Amazon.com gives us 0.5% towards Polaris on every order placed through Amazon Smile. You can increase the benefits even more by ordering an Amazon card through the SCRIP program. Thank you to everyone who supports our school! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Michelle Mathieu in the Front Office at 603-634-0034.

The PEF held its annual meeting last Friday, May 15th. At the time of the meeting we were unable to hold elections for the PEF Board due to a lack of volunteers. We are very excited to announce that we will be able to hold elections at the next meeting, Thursday June 11th at 7:00, as we now have volunteers for every PEF Board position!
But that doesn’t mean we don’t need YOU! We still need committee members and volunteers. The Board can’t do it on their own. Bring your ideas, tell us about your skills, interests and talents. Together we can make next year the best PEF year yet!
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
Let’s thank the amazing staff and teachers of Polaris for their influence in our children’s lives! The luncheon will take place in Mrs. Fesh’s room. Dietary restrictions are described in the sign up sheet: http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/8566420840104. The teachers will have their meeting during the luncheon, so Polaris parents will set up, deliver food, and clean up, but will not be joining the group. Email email@example.com with questions.
Parent Coffee – Thursday, May 28th, after drop off, at Chez Vachon
Are you getting as antsy for the end of school as the kids are? Join other parents on Thursday, May 28th after drop off and share during parent coffee/breakfast. As always parents with young children are welcome to bring them along. The back room at Chez Vachon is scheduled for us and they are happy to do separate checks. There should be ample parking. This is a great opportunity for new parents to the school to get their feet wet!
Thank you to Polaris Teachers and Staff
The Volunteer Appreciation Brunch was delicious, and a relaxed time to spend with other Polaris parents, as well as the teachers and staff. Thank you!
